York County Register of Wills/Clerk of Orphans’ Court Bradley Jacobs reported record amount of inheritance tax collection levels in 2014.

Jacobs’ office collected a total of $26,330,100.41 in PA Inheritance Tax in 2014. This represents the largest annual inheritance tax collection since Jacobs entered office in the year 2000. Over that fifteen (15) year span, York County estates have remitted in excess of $297 million to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Inheritance Tax Division, through the York County Register’s office
