Welcome to the redesigned County of York website! We hope that you find the updated site easy to use. It is part of our commitment to serving you effectively and efficiently.
What's changed
The new website maintains a similar look and feel as the County's previous site, with some exceptions. Major changes include:
- Mobile & Tablet Friendly: The most significant change. About half of all traffic to our site comes from these devices.
- New “sticky” navigation allows the main navigation (“County Administration, Courts & Criminal Justice, etc.) at the top of the page to “stay” on the screen when you scroll down (instead of having to scroll back up to get back to the menu).
- Aesthetic and functional updates to home page and inner-page designs based on historic traffic trends and current design standards
- Updated software to strengthen security and allow the County to offer the community new features
- Improved the search functionality to assist you in finding what you seek.
Navigating The Site
The new site retains largely the same core navigation as its predecessor. A list of all departments is available at the top right of every screen. Click on "Services" to access our easy-to-use alphabetical directory of County programs and services, or use the main navigation based on your area of interest.
Events & Programs
Looking to find something to do over the weekend? Need help navigating Medicare? A variety of programs and events are listed at the bottom right of every page in the centralized events calendar.
