Effective May 31, 2021, the Governor has announced that all COVID-19 restrictions related to gathering, restaurants and other business will be lifted. The update allows municipalities, school districts, restaurants and venues to continue to implement stricter mitigation efforts and recommends continued social distancing.

At this time, The Courts and County Administration have decided to maintain gathering limits at 50 percent capacity for indoor events and gatherings until July 1, 2021. Effective July 1, 2021, all County facilities will return to their regular capacity.

As a reminder, the County of York continues to follow the mask guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which indicates that fully vaccinated individuals can resume activities that they did prior to the pandemic without wearing a mask or staying six feet apart. Please refer to CDC's website for further details. Signage on our doors of County buildings will be updated to reflect the new CDC Guidelines.

Thank you, citizens and our dedicated employees, for your ongoing adherence to the guidelines. It is appreciated.

Yours in Service

Julie Wheeler, President Commissioner
