The county's Crisis Intervention Team, CIT, assists police when responding to calls where a person may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

This team, formed through a collaboration of many local agencies, has more than 100 officers in York County certified to handle such responses.

The video below shows how, in a live incident, this works to create better outcomes for people in crisis. Talking about mental health is important, but it's just a start. In York County, agencies and individuals are acting in big ways to help people in crisis get the help they need.
