Proclamation Jack Dehoff

York County Conservation District

38 Years of Service

WHEREAS, Jack Dehoff began farming land in York Township, York County, in 1967
and within six years formed a partnership with his father, Albert, and brother, Henry, named
Albert Dehoff and Sons in Windsor Township, York County; and

WHEREAS the family partnership became Dehoff Farms LLC while remaining a family
business with brother Henry and Jack’s three sons, a rarity in today’s agricultural industry;
and

WHEREAS, in 2011, the Dehoff ‘s transitioned their midsize dairy farm into a larger
beef farm, selling 125 head of cows and within nine years acquiring 400 head of fat steers. The
Dehoff ‘s also farm 1,000 acres of corn, wheat, barley, soybeans and alfalfa; and

WHEREAS, Jack’s 38 years of steadfast and stellar service to the York County
Conservation District include six years as vice chair and an additional 12 as chairman; and

WHEREAS, Jack’s mentorship in the Red Lion Future Farmers of America enables
future farmers to benefit from his vast wealth of agricultural knowledge; and

WHEREAS, Jack’s commitment to his family’s trade extends past York County’s
boundaries. He was a board member of the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission, chair
of the PA Farm Bureau and is a member of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.

NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE COMMISSIONERS OF YORK COUNTY,
PENNSYLVANIA, would like to recognize Jack Dehoff for his civic engagement and 38 years
of public service to the York County Conservation District that has made a lasting impact on
York County’s farming community and all who are sustained by it.

GIVEN, this day in York, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, on the 10th day of
December in the year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty-One.
