The goal of the Purchasing Department is to procure supplies, equipment, and services for all county departments at the best possible price. Procurements are made through methods such as direct purchases with purchase orders, online purchasing, requests for proposals, sealed bids, and the use of the county procurement card.

$1.00 - $11,499.99 Direct purchase (more than 1 quote encouraged but not required)
$11,500.00 - $21,299.99

Requires 3 written/telephonic quotes or state contract pricing/must
prepare a motion for approval to purchase through Commissioner’s meeting.

$21,300.00 and above Advertised sealed bid or state contract pricing/must prepare a motion
for approval to go out for bid or purchase through Commissioner’s meeting.
 

The County of York will be accepting bids and RFP’s though Pennbid.  Please visit their website and register as a vendor to be notified of upcoming bids and RFP’s for the County of York.
