The York County Sheriff’s Office processes fingerprint orders issued by Magisterial District Judges between the hours of 8:00AM and 9:00PM, Monday through Friday.
Applicant fingerprinting is conducted between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM, Monday through Friday, with a processing fee of $8.00.
All individuals that get fingerprinted MUST bring a valid picture identification card. Juveniles without a valid identification card MUST have a parent or legal guardian present to verify their identity.
The York County Sheriff’s Office is not authorized to conduct fingerprinting for the new Child Protective Service laws. All fingerprints need processed through the state contracted vender, Cogent. Please check Cogent’s website at https://www.pa.cogentid.com for hours of operations and fees.
The York County Sheriff’s Office conducts fingerprinting for Megan’s Law offenders, but you must register at the York County Probation Department prior to reporting to the Sheriff’s Office.
The York County Sheriff’s Office does not conduct Megan’s Law updates or verifications; this must be conducted at the York County Probation Department.
