Group Leader

This bargaining unit supervisory position is responsible for ensuring workers, including but not limited to full-time co-workers, part- time seasonal employees, ARD, out mates, volunteers, and equipment and materials are used properly, effectively, and efficiently to maximize productivity.  Performs varied, semi-skilled and craft-skilled duties such as masonry, plumbing, etc.  Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.  This position is considered an essential employee as the department supports County operations. Maintenance Employee

This position is hired to help assist the maintenance workers in their daily jobs. This job consists of any of the following: cutting grass, trimming, painting, repairing, trail upkeep, fence installation, cleaning and general maintenance.

Boat Attendant

A person qualified for this job must be able to: work well with the public, assist boat renters into and out of boats, work with minimal supervision, and run a cash register. This position requires the applicant to be 16 years of age or older, and able to work weekends. Seasonal Ranger

This position involves extensive public relations. Foot patrol will be performed especially within areas heavily visited by the public. Several duties that may be performed include: checking pavilions, collecting pavilion rental surveys, serving the public, and being available to answer question.

Seasonal Environmental Educator 

Practice your leadership skills while creatively inspiring young people to engage with the natural world around us. The seasonal environmental educator position is responsible for working closely with full time naturalists to plan and lead eight week-long summer day camps for children ages 5-13. Activities include hiking, stream exploration, canoeing, songs, games, nature journaling, creative projects, and more. Responsible for communicating with staff and parents/guardians about camp logistics, camper medical needs, and disciplinary concerns. A positive and outgoing attitude, strong teamwork skills, and flexibility are required. This position falls under the Child Protection Services Law and requires applicant to pass background checks and screenings. Interested applicants must complete the digital application on the county employment page and attach resume and cover letter no later than January 31, 2022.
