Poll Worker Fact Sheet  |   Application Form (NEW)

  • In general, you must be registered to vote in the county where you wish to work. 
  • Exceptions exist for 17-year-old high school students, who must meet additional requirements. High school students should contact the York County Elections Office for the required permission form. 
  • Poll workers generally work for the entire day on election day, from before the time the polls open at 7 a.m. until after the polls close at 8 p.m. 
  • Counties train poll workers on their election day duties and all poll workers get paid for their service. 
  • We will be conducting training sessions for the 2022 election season beginning in early May. Call the office at 717-771-9604 for more information.
