The York County Human Services department oversees a variety of programs that support community needs.

These programs include:

  • Food Pantry Assistance
  • Housing Assistance
  • Assistance with children and family
  • An emergency evacuation registration program for individuals with special needs.

Some of the programs through York County Human Services are provided by County staff, while others are managed by the Human Services department and are provided by a third-party community agency.

Administrative Programs through the Human Services department are managed by Human Services, which contracts with community agencies to provide those direct services to residents. These programs include food, transportation, and housing assistance programs. Other programs such as Family Engagement Unit (FEU), Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP), and the York County Special Needs Registry are staffed directly through the Human Services office and County staff.
