The County administrator serves as the County’s highest-ranking manager, reporting directly to the Board of Commissioners. The position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of departments under the Commissioners’ purview, subject to the Commissioners’ policy and administrative decisions.

The position also is responsible for managing the County’s finances, including the preparation and presentation of the County’s annual budget.
