Purpose:
The Human Services Development Fund (HSDF) provides a flexible source of funding that can be used for a wide variety of human services programs. HSDF funds assist both categorical county government departments (such as Children & Youth, and Mental Health/Individual & Developmental Disabilities), as well as community agencies. HSDF funds are used to expand existing services, coordinate services among programs, and for other specialized or generic services. HSDF offers counties flexibility and allows each county to tailor their programs and cost efficiencies to the needs of their county.
